Quibly is open to individuals, businesses and registered charities based in the UK. If you have a Quibly account, you can start selling straight away.
Requirements
- Age: you must be 18 or over. Age verification may be requested when setting up your payout account
- Location: you must be based in the UK
- Account: you need a Quibly account. The same account is used for buying and selling, there's no need to create a separate seller account
- Payout account: to receive payment you'll need to connect a UK bank account via Stripe. You'll be prompted to do this when you list your first item
Individuals
Anyone aged 18 or over based in the UK can sell on Quibly. Whether you're clearing out your wardrobe, selling collectibles or regularly reselling items, you can get started on the Free plan with no monthly cost or choose to go Pro for more listings at £6 a month.
Private seller or business seller?
If you're an individual seller, you'll need to declare whether you're a private seller or a business seller when you list your first item. This determines your legal obligations, particularly around returns:
Private sellers sell items they personally own and no longer need, e.g. clearing your wardrobe, selling furniture, occasional reselling.
Business sellers are selling regularly or with the intent to profit, e.g. buying items to resell, operating a vintage shop, trading as a business.
If you're unsure which applies to you, see Private seller vs business seller: your obligations for guidance. When in doubt, it's safer to declare as a business seller.
Businesses
Registered businesses can sell on Quibly using either a Pro or an Enterprise account. Pro is open to both individuals and businesses while Enterprise is available to registered businesses only and includes advanced tools and dedicated support.
Enterprise sellers are listed under either Brands or Marketplace depending on Quibly’s review. See Upgrading to Enterprise for details.
Charities
Registered UK charities can apply for a free Enterprise-level account. See Quibly for charities for details on the registration process.
The bottom line
If you're 18 or over and based in the UK, you can sell on Quibly. Individuals, businesses and charities are all welcome. If you're an individual, you'll need to declare if you're a private or a business seller. Your buying and selling account are one and the same. Just list your first item to get started!
