Understanding age requirements

You must be 18 or over to hold a Quibly account. Quibly involves payments and legally binding purchase agreements, so the account holder needs to be an adult.

A parent or legal guardian can set up and manage an account for a child aged 13 to 17 and holds responsibility for everything that happens on it. Children under 13 cannot use Quibly.

Managing an account for your child

If you’re setting up an account for your child, here’s what you need to know:

  • You are the account holder and you’re responsible for all activity on the account
  • The account must be registered in your name, using your details
  • Any payment and payout details must be yours, including the bank account connected through Stripe
  • Selling and payouts are handled by you as the account holder

How we verify age

We verify age using secure ID verification. We may ask for a government issued ID such as a passport or driving license at key points, including:

  • When an account is created
  • When connecting a bank account through Stripe
  • For high-value transactions
  • When upgrading to a paid plan
  • If our systems flag a potential age concern

For an account managed on behalf of a child, we verify the parent or guardian’s age and identity. Your ID is handled securely and is not stored beyond the verification check.

What happens if verification fails

If we can’t verify that the account holder is 18 or over, the account won’t be activated, or it may be suspended. If you think this is a mistake, you can contact our support team at support@quibly.com.

The bottom line

You must be 18 or over to hold a Quibly account. A parent or legal guardian can manage an account for a child aged 13 to 17 and is responsible for everything on it, including selling and payouts. We verify age at key points using secure ID verification.
