Quibly is built on trust between buyers and sellers. These standards apply to everyone on the platform whether you're buying, selling, or both. They're about how you treat people, not just what you list or sell.
Be honest and accurate
Everything you share on Quibly (listings, messages, reviews) should be truthful. For sellers this means accurate photos, honest descriptions and correct condition labels. For buyers this means genuine offers and honest feedback.
Misrepresenting items, inflating condition or listing fake items are all violations of our policies. See What can I sell on Quibly? and Your responsibilities as a seller for the full detail.
Communicate respectfully
Treat every person on Quibly the way you'd want to be treated. This applies to messages, reviews, offers and any interaction on the platform.
Our messaging system includes guardrails to prevent spam and limit unsolicited contact. Even within those limits, the following are not acceptable:
- Abusive, threatening, or offensive language
- Discriminatory language or behaviour of any kind
- Continuing to contact someone after they've made clear they're not interested
- Making repeated low offers to pressure a seller into accepting
Transact in good faith
Both buyers and sellers are expected to follow through on their commitments. For sellers, that means shipping promptly, showing up to collection meetups, and not cancelling sales or declining returns without good reason. For buyers, it means completing payment promptly, not making offers without genuine intent to buy, having genuine return reasons and showing up to collection meetups.
Keep transactions on Quibly
All payments must go through Quibly. Arranging payment outside the platform removes the buyer and seller protection that Quibly provides. We can't investigate disputes or offer refunds for transactions that happen off-platform.
Asking or being asked to transact off-platform is a red flag. If this happens to you, report it.
Respect privacy
Don't share other people's personal information without their consent. This includes addresses, phone numbers or any detail shared with you during a transaction. Use the Quibly messaging system, don't take conversations to personal channels.
Report problems
If you encounter a listing, message or user that doesn't feel right, please report it to our support team. Our team reviews all reports and takes action where our standards have been breached.
See How to report a listing or user for step-by-step guidance.
What happens if standards aren't met
Breaches of community standards may result in listings being removed, features being restricted, or accounts being suspended. Serious or repeated violations will result in permanent removal from the platform. See Account suspension and what to do if you believe action has been taken against your account in error.
Related policies
These standards work alongside our more specific policies. If you're looking for detail on any of the following, see the relevant article:

The bottom line
Be honest, be respectful and follow through on your commitments. Quibly works because people on both sides of a transaction act in good faith. If something doesn't feel right, report it and our team will look into it.
