Holiday mode

Going away? Holiday mode lets you pause your shop so buyers can't purchase items you won't be able to ship or hand over on time. Your listings aren't deleted, they're simply hidden until you toggle holiday mode off when you're back.

Turning holiday mode on

  • Go to the menu icon in the top right
  • Select Settings
  • Find the Holiday Mode section
  • Switch the toggle on

Your listings will be hidden straight away. When you're back, just switch the toggle off and your listings become visible to buyers again right away.

What happens while holiday mode is on

While the toggle is on:

  • Your listings won't appear in search results, on your shop page, or on the Collection map
  • Buyers can't purchase or make an offer on your items
  • Your shop and account stay active, nothing else changes

Your listings aren't deleted. Everything is saved exactly as you left it and becomes visible again as soon as you turn holiday mode off.

Active orders still need fulfilling

Holiday mode only hides your listings. It doesn't pause orders that were already placed before you switched it on. Any active orders still need to be fulfilled within the usual timeframes:

  • Delivery orders: ship within 72 hours of purchase
  • Collection orders: respond to the buyer within 24 hours and confirm collection within 5 days
  • Returns: respond to any return requests within the required timeframes

If you have orders in progress, sort them before you go away or arrange to fulfil them while you're gone. Missing these deadlines can lead to auto-cancellations, which affect your seller rating. For a full rundown of the timeframes that apply, see Key deadlines and timeframes.

The bottom line

Holiday mode hides your listings so you don't sell items you can't ship or hand over on time. Switch it on from Settings, and your listings stay hidden until you switch it back off. Your listings aren't deleted and your shop stays active. Just remember that any orders placed before you turned holiday mode on still need fulfilling within the usual timeframes.
